Belladonna Cove is a new neighborhood shipped with Apartment Life. This neighborhood mainly features the apartments and social classes. Parts of the town include slummy urban area, middle class area, and luxurious socialite area. This neighborhood is said to be the best in The Sims 2.
Some districts also feature trailer park, industrial area, lofty flats, and luxurious mansions. Apartment is the new type of lot for Sims to reside. Up to four families can live in the same apartment building, but occupy different apartment slots. Living in apartments will give some benefits for Sims, or even disadvantages. Sims can meet others in the same lot easily, or visit neighboring families on the next door.
On the other hand, neighbors can also make noises behind the walls that irritates Sims. Sims don't buy an apartment. They rent the slot instead.
Every Monday, the Landlord will come to charge the rent. Landlords are beneficial NPCs because they will take care of the common areas, tend the garden, take care of roaches, and fix the plumbing. Some Build and Buy modes options are also locked for Sims living in apartments. Players cannot build an apartment lot without using console cheats. They automatically show up in university housing , provided there are enough beds, but Sims can also rent out their homes or apartments [ CL ] [ EL ] to roommates by placing an ad on their computer or phone.
If there are no extra beds on a lot, the option to put out an ad will be grayed out. There can be up to ten Sims living on a lot, including the playable household. So, for example, there could be a full household of eight playable Sims and two roommates, or one playable Sim and nine roommates.
If a Sim puts out an ad for roommates, potential candidates will randomly visit throughout the day or the next day, if the ad is placed at night.
Sims can then get to know them before accepting or rejecting them as roommates. Once all beds on a lot have been filled, the ad will automatically be taken down. However, the ad can also be manually removed. Roommates are completely uncontrollable NPCs, and will take care of their needs without the player's input. They will leave at times during the day, either to go to work or to visit other lots.
Each roommate is assigned a hidden "archetype" that determines how they behave as a roommate. I changed the dorm to female only thinking that the male roommates that were already living there would move out. I even tried to have my sim kiss her boyfriend in their room and on their bed and nothing is working. Any suggestions? It can take a few Sim days for applications to arrive. You will be able to tell which Sims are coming to meet your Sim as they will have Potential Roommate above their name.
When you have decided on the Sim you want to become your new roommate, simply click on them and navigate to the Roommate menu. You can then use the Accept as new Roommate option. As soon as you select a Sim to be your Roommate your advert will be closed and taken down. The chosen Sim will also move straight in. Anyone figure out how to fix this? I cannot place an advertisement for roommates, I have enough beds even added extra to see if it was a bug. They do bring their own little trinkets and clutter items though.

The only Sims who tend to do this are Romance Sims in my game, and I only intend to allow them 1 child no matter who their partner is unless they marry. If a married person divorces and has another partner after that, I would just recalculate. I would include step kids.
